One common thing that players of Restaurant City want to know is how
to make more money. Since each dish only yields $2, despite what level
you are or your dish is, this can be challenging. The only way to
actually make more money in the game is to increase the efficiency of
your employees in your restaurant, therefore serving more customers,
faster.
So how do you get more customers in your restaurant to serve? The answer to this is simply: popularity.
The higher your popularity, the more customers will come through the
door to eat at your restaurant, therefore giving you more opportunities
to make a sale. Also, your restaurant layout,
if done functionally rather than cosmetically, can decrease the amount
of time the waiters need to walk between the kitchen and customer table
– as well as keep your cooks constantly cooking.
Before you can measure how much more money your new ideas are making
you, you need to measure how much you are making now. Before you start,
you will need to get together the following materials:
- Kitchen timer, watch, your windows clock, or something that can measure out a minute.
- Pen and paper, or a word processing program.
Now you are going to need to get your restaurant ready to measure
your money per minute. In order to do this, you will need to first make
sure your employees have full health – this is somewhere between
80-100%, you can tell if they have this if next to the employee avatar
in the bottom menu, it shows a green smiley face next to it. If they do
not have this, then they will not work as fast. Now, follow these steps:
- Start the timer, and simultaneously (at the same time) write down how much money you currently have
- Watch the clock, wait for one minute, or sixty seconds to pass
- At the very end of the minute, write down how much money you now have
- Now, subtract the amount of starting money from the amount of
ending money to get your net cash per minute (beginning – ending = net
cash)
A very good goal to shoot for, once you have many employees and a
large enough restaurant, is about 16 meals per minute, or $32 per
minute. If you want to see how your design is in terms of money per
minute, you can just measure your current level and then test it
against your new ideas.
