Mob Wars Bank {Facebook}

"A bank is a place where they lend you an umbrella in fair weather and ask for it back when it begins to rain."

  - Robert Frost

The bank is probably the least thought about aspects of the game, but one that can cost you dearly if you are not paying attention. Here are some tips:

Why Use the Bank?
Quite simply, if you don't use the bank at lower levels, you will get robbed blind. Every time someone attacks you, they have the chance to get up to $100,000 of your money. When you are first starting out, that is a ton of dough to lose consistently. Failure to put your money in the bank will make you a target, and severly limit you growth.

Also, you cannot pay for medical attention with your ill-gotten booty. Doctors will only take money that has been properly laundered by the bank. So EVERYONE must have some money in the bank.

How Much Should I Have In The Bank?
This depends entirely on your level, your wealth, and your needs. Here are some general guidelines to follow:

  • Under level 20 or until you make around a million an hour in profit, ALL your extra money that you are not buying properties and gear with should go into the bank.

  • You should have enough on hand to heal yourself ten times. The rate various by level, so you will have to continually calculate this.

  • After level 30, have enough on hand to pull a hit on other mobsters of your level. This varies by how much wealth your adversaries have, but a rule of thumb on hit costs is: Your level x $10,000,000. A level 50 enemy will generally cost you around five hundred million to hit, a level 100 mobster around one billion, and so on.

Bank Your Money, But Only To A Point
Laundering your money in the bank is a great way to protect your money from other mobsters at lower levels, but can be foolish in certain circumstances once you become rich.

For example, I make $30 plus million an hour. So let's say I'm saving money to buy 10 casinos for $1 Billion, and it will take a couple of days to save enough. If I put this money in the bank, I will end up paying $100 million in laundering fees. If I keep it unprotected, I will come out much better. Even if I get attacked a bunch of times, the worst thing they will do (at $100,000 stolen each time) is steal a million or two! That's chump change at this point. So don't bother with the bank at higher levels.
