Mob Wars Building A Mob {Facebook}

"It is only one who is thoroughly acquainted with the evils of war that can thoroughly understand the profitable way of carrying it on."
  - Sun Tzu, the Art of War

Building up the size of your mob is critical to increasing your power in Mob Wars. Here are some of the keys:

Mob Size Is Critical For Fighting and Defense
At lower levels, mob size is pretty much irrelevent. A level 3 character with a tiny mob has a very good chance of defeating an equal level character if he is properly armed and has appropriate stats.

But as you progress, this changes quickly. By the time you're a 20-something level mobster, if you have a significantly larger mob than the person you are fighting, you will win (if properly equipped). Conversely, if you have a small mob, you will become a target, and you will lose often.

How Do I Add Members To My Mob?

First, the person you want to add to your mob needs to be one of your facebook friends. If not, you can't add them.

If they are a friend, simply follow the MY MOB link about the navigation bar. It will bring up something similiar to the screen shot below. Select the friends you want to invite, and a standardized message will be sent to them. Note that you can only invite 25 friends per day, so use your invites wisely.

If your friends accept, they will be added to your mob, and you will be added to theirs.

Who Should You Recruit?
You should have a good idea know who amongst your friends will be interested, but don't rely on the standard message sent by the application. It's worth your time to send a personal note to each friend to tell them about the game, and try to get them to join. Facebook users are bombarded with dozens of requests daily, so many just get ignored. Make it personal, and you will get much better a response.

Most people, however, will have to go outside their circle of friends to find new recruits, which I describe in the next two sections.

Hired Guns
Hired guns are provided by the Godfather for 20 favor points, and they don't require any sort of upkeep. The cost is steep, but if you are willing to spend the time filling out offers, they are well worth it. If you have extra cash, you can also buy favor points, which is what I did. For $20, you can get 100 favor points, which will give you 5 hired guns. The number of hired guns the godfather will give you goes up as your level goes up, starting at level 30. I primarly did this just to support the developer.

When Should I Start Recruiting?
Right away. Don't wait. Remember, you can only invite 25 people a day in the beginning, less as you advance in level. So don't wait until level 50, you will be behind the curve! You can play around with recruiting at lower levels, but by around 20, when your wealth starts to increase, start hitting it hard.

How Big Should My Mob Be?
At lower levels, don't get your mob so big that you can't afford to equipment them. Build your wealth, and after you are well off, then recruit heavily.

As a general rule, you should have AT LEAST 1 mob member for every level your character is up to level 25. Levels 26-50 you should try to add 10 new mob members per level. By the time you reach 80, you'll want to have your maximum mob size of 500+
