"Greed is good."
- Gordon Gekko, Wall Street
There
are four main ways to pull in piles of cash instantly. They are doing
jobs, fighting, pulling hits, and the godfather. I've detailed each
below:
Pulling Jobs
This should be your main focus when you are lower level, up to levels
10-15. Jobs provide a good amount of experience, and give you money.
They are relatively safe, and carry only the risk of going to jail
(which you can escape from). Its important to note that almost all jobs
require items be carried in the Stockpile to complete, and some, such
as liquor smuggling, require you do a distill liquor job before you can
smuggle it. Also note that many of these items have an upkeep
associated with them, so balance buying items with buying property,
which I describe later. Unlike with experience, if you are doing jobs
soley for money, do the most powerful job your energy and level will
allow. My
favorite money job to pull is drug smuggling by sea; it only requires 2
items, and one of them, the container yard, gives you residual property
income. You also don't have to do prep work like you do with liquor
smuggling.
Fighting
This works best if you have specs for your character that make him a
strong fighter, particularly extra stats in attack. The higher your
attack, the easier it is to win, and the more money you get. Fighting
to get money works best past level 10. By then you have built up your
stats enough to insure success, and most of the people under level 10
don't have much money to steal. Even at lower levels, its not uncommon
to grab a quick $100,000 from your enemies EACH ATTACK. Its best to
look for victims that have high value properties, particularly casinos,
because you KNOW they have money.
Pulling Hits
Don't mess with this until you are AT LEAST in the 20's level wise,
because it can get messy. Hits are an excellent way for higher level
characters to get piles of cash. Its not uncommon for hits to bring in
billions from a single hit (that's not a misprint, I said billions).
But there are two problems. First, mobsters who have hits on them are
generally tough, some of them you even find on the "Made Men" list.
Second, hits don't stay up for very long (sometimes only seconds)
before someone finishes the job, so you have to be on your toes (and
have a high-speed internet connection). A good tactic is to work in
combination with a friend and simultaneously attack a mobster. Each
attack will weaken him, and that way one of the two of you will get
credit for the kill and the cash.
The Godfather
Only use this in a pinch because it costs favor points. The godfather
will give you X amount of dollars, depending upon your level, for 10
favor points.
