Hello Mafia Wars Players,
Mafia wars is a brutal game and you might want to read this guide to help you.
Some will disagree but that's OK im offering you help its up to you if you want to take my advice or not.
1.) Invest your godfather points wisely.
The only thing you should spend your godfather points on is.
The Godfather offers you 4 skill (upgrade) points.
Things not to spend godfather points on.
The Godfather offers you $37,469,000.
The Godfather offers you 10 extra family members.
The Godfather offers you a full energy refill.
The Godfather offers you a full stamina refill.
The Godfather offers you a full health refill.
The Godfather offers you a new name.
2.) Join add me groups so you can grow your mafia. Do not go in just
adding people post your join my Mafia link and add me please.

3.) Do not attack players on the in game hit list that are a higher lvl then you you are setting yourself up for failure.
I say this because if you are attacking players higher then you then
chances are you going to get it back 10 fold. Always check there lvl
before you attack.
4.) Just buy properties that can not be robbed Mafia mike's,Rent House's and Undeveloped Space
to buy Mafia Mikes you will need to grow your mafia so make sure you visit the add me groups and add your friends.
make sure your Upkeep is lower then your cash flow. If this is not the
case visit the add me groups again and get more mafia members.
Also note if you insist on having properties that's already been robbed
( police lined) don't sell or repair them you still get 30% of the
income.
5.) Remember only buy 1 of each per mafia member up to 501 mafia
members Weapons, Armor and Vehicles. You will gain more Weapons, Armor
and Vehicles as you go along and be able to sell any extra Weapons,
Armor and Vehicles as you grow in lvl.
6.) Buy Limited Edition Loot this is usually better items then what you
have when just starting out.For every 2 mafia members you can buy 1.
Only buy if you can use it and its better then what you have.
7.) If you are getting attacked over and over do not hit list your
attacker they are just looking for a free ride usually on the hit list
because it gives them free xo and money.
Do not attack them back because if you show up on there Player Updates
as a loss and they have been attacking you and wining over and over
there is no need in you just giving them more xp sooner then later they
will see that there not going to catch a free ride on the hit list off
of you and cant rob you and they will move on.
8.) Never Sucker punch! It is a waste of Stamina
9.) Remember it is just a game.
10. This is the most important rule of them all
JUST HAVE FUN!
11.) Don't post your link on forums such as this it just makes it easy for people to target you!
12.) 12.) If you get hit listed in the game enjoy it. If you make more then 6 xp you are a winner
13.) Collections and Vaulting
Regardless of what it says at the top of the "Collections and Vaults"
page, you must get one of EACH item in the collection, not 7 of one
item, to vault it. After you achieve this, the "Vault Collection" link
will be activated.
Each vaulted collection gives a small reward towards either your Health, Stamina, Energy, Attack and Defense.
14.) Before asking for help. Help yourself! Don't be lazy and ask for
help if it is something you can do or figure out on your own.
15.) Remember it may take many tries before a loot item that you want
drops. You can try attacking people also as a alternative to try and
get these items.
16.) The amount of xp gained from a fight is random so you cant just
attack someone that gives you 6 xp and expect to keep getting it.
17.) The game has lot of features that has roll over info attached on
icons. For example: what loot you get from what jobs you will see a
yellow icon with a money bag on it put your mouse on it with out
clicking and the info will pop up and tell you what you could possibly
get from doing the job. Explore the game.
18.) There is a per day limit you can invite your friends to join your
mafia. However Mafia Wars has provided you and your friends away to
join each others mafia when your both out of request.
Out of requests?
Use your status message to recruit more friends to your Mafia. Copy and
paste the following message, then simply press the set status button.
You can use this link to recruit more mafia members. Post it anywhere,
but you must be Facebook friends for this link to work.

You must be friends with the person before they can join your mafia!
Every player has a unique ID number in facebook/ myspace you link will
be different then other peoples hints to why i added the xxxx at the
end of the link.
19.)Don't let people with clans/groups try to get you to waste your
godfather points on adding what they want to your name. Tags cant
always protect you. If someone wants to attack you or rob you they will
regardless.
Tags are just a ego trip by the creators of groups.clans.
If the Mafia Wars creators thought it would help you it would be implemented into the game.
20) Be aware of and strategic with all four meters
a) Do not pour a majority of your points into one stat (ie: Energy,
Health Stamina) You can, but the more you use, the more you'll have to
pour in later
b) Do not consume a significant portion of your meters -- especially fairly high capacities (ie: Energy, Stamina)
c) Be aware of your leveling meter. (ie: Energy Paks aren't necessary once a certain point is reached)
d) In relation to a: if there's a meter that shouldn't be high, it's health!
e) In relation to c, where jobs have the most exp and/or payout, they
aren't the be all, end all. Gather points from fighting and robbing co
habitually.
f) In relation to all of the above: Pre-Execution Mathematics is a REQUIREMENT!
Some will disagree with this method but it will provide balance and in
the long run your Mafia Wars Character will be stronger all around.
You don't want to be a energy rat and lose to almost everyone that attacks you or you attack.
21.) If you get rude messages such as cussing and name calling
ignore or report them they are more then likely trying to bait you in
to breaking the rules so they can report you to facebook. Never reply
to a obscene message.
22.) If you have progressed far enough through the game and don't want
to attack people off the in game hit list or find someone on the fight
list people make this easy for you . Simply get one of your friends to
hit list ya once and attack or rob the ones that loose make sure if you
try to rob them they are your lvl or lower 
but there is a chance you might loose. Also add me groups are a great
place to find people to attack some people post there links and there
mafia wars lvl. Last but not least forums you can find people to attack
and rob because people are posting there links left and right.
23.) A lot of people thinks they can punish players that attack and rob
them by getting there group/clan to attack them however this is not the
case sure they can get higher lvls to attack you but the critical hit
will usually happen giving you the same exp you would lose if you get
iced if not more. Then you can retaliate on there lower members as long
as you want if you can find them. I laugh when this happens not because
I lose the fight but because they are actually thinking they are
hurting you.
24.) Lose/Times Robbed etc...ect... is just stats it don't effect your actual game play so if you was told this ignore it.
25.) Make sure when buying Limited Edition Loot it will actually help
you buy 1 and attack someone with it to see if you even use it when
fighting. This will save your mafia for better Limited Edition Loot
Weapons, Armor and Vehicles that might come out in the future.
26.) Don't trade with people you do not trust if you do you assume all
risk you might not get what you want from the trade if anything at all.
There is nothing in the game that prevents this other then thinking
ahead of time. Be smart! Calling in people to hit him might make you
feel better but it won't hurt him and it won't get your stuff back. To
help others out post the users name in mafia wars groups to let them
know not to trade with the person and you can also post it in your
status.
27.) If your lagging try rebooting your computer. Just because one area in the game is lagging doesnt mean the others are.
28.) If your operating with Firefox or Internet explorer while on the
gifting page press Ctrl + F and type in the persons real name when
wanting to gift an item it will take you right to them. If they are on
your Mafia Wars friends list.
